About the Developer

BusyMac was founded in 2007 by Dave Riggle and John Chaffee. Dave and John have a long history of building great software together dating back to the early 90's when they created Now Up-to-Date, a revolutionary network calendar for Mac OS 7. Now Up-to-Date and its companion app, Now Contact, were the de facto standards for managing your calendar and contacts.

A lot has changed since then but demand for a powerful calendar and contact manager for macOS and iOS remains to this day.

That's where BusyMac comes in. They've leveraged their years of experience and passion for building great apps for the Mac and have created BusyCal and BusyContacts — the ultimate Calendar and Contact Manager for macOS and iOS.

Lots of great functionality, but the sync fails miserably. If I update a record on my iPhone the BusyCal entry overrides the update. So when I'm not in front of my laptop and do an update on another device, it's a waste of time! This alone defeats the purpose of a calendar app that sync's since there is no 'sync' - the only answer from their tech support was to launch on my laptop and allow it 10 minutes to update!! Umm, first off that didn't work and second is that this should not be required!

I've been using BusyCal every single day since I downloaded it, and I can't imagine not using it now. I have several calendars across home and work that are now integrated in one place, and in an easy to use format. Makes my life so much easier!

I got this upgrade when it was on sale, but even at the sale price $19.99, the new version 3 doesn't seem all that different from the old version 2. I don't have a problem supporting developers, but I usually expect more in the way of new features. I still like this app way better than the Mac Calendar app, though, and now I have a version that will get upgrades.
